Mount Kilimanjaro
Mt. Kilimanjaro – the “rooftop of Africa”: The tallest free-standing mountain in the World, and home of one of the World’s most challenging treks. Even in ideal weather, your chances of reaching the summit are never 100%. Combine the thrill of being near, or (if you choose) even on this miracle mountain, with the thrill of hearing souls cry out to God for grace and mercy. Interested? Read on…
On arrival, you will be picked up from the airport by your trip leader. Your first night in this beautiful area will be a rest night along with orientation. We will have a local pastor come and address the group. The next day begins ministry in Moshe, the foothill town closest to Mt. Kilimanjaro. Moshe has always been a global junction. Ancient camel caravan routes passed through here and now, the railway line connecting Dar Es Salaam and Arusha goes through here. After ministry here, we will be driving to Zanzibar Island. Ministry there will be somewhere between 5 and 7 days. The local fish market will be a LOM exclusive experience that you will never forget! You will also have a chance to finish up with some tourist activities including an available, authentic, African Safari.
*Note: Those interested in attempting to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro will have a chance! However, this is an extremely intense, 6 day hike and might not be for everyone!
